NOTD Purply Glittery

These glitter polishes are so lovely and exceeds all my expectations. When I saw them in the store I immediately grabbed them, as another girl was pawing through the lot and these looked to be the only ones left. The flecks look large and dense in the bottle. As soon as I put them on, I was transported.
Which is why it's so hard for me to show you my pic because, I know. It sucks. It really does. It kinda defeats the purpose of putting a pic up at all, which is supposed to show off the beauty of this glitter. I must tell you it doesn't look this crappy in real life. I layered the glitter over the NYC Purple Pizzazz Frost that Stiletto gave me, which is dark purple polish with a downright gorgeous violet-blue flash. The glitter complements Pizzazz perfectly, and all my girl friends who saw my nails gushed that it is pretty. By the way, are you one of those sick gals who flash their fingernails in other people's faces until they're forced to acknowledge your mani? And wave 'hello' or 'goodbye' with their palms turned inwards, again to show off said mani? Well, I confess, I am. Sick. <<Hangs head in shame.>>
The glitter has tiny flecks that also flash violet blue, but more than that, there are hexagonal glitters!
I've never seen the likes of it in real life before! And the glitter is dense. I deeply mourn my inability to take a photo that will do this mani justice. Oooh, the shame.

Award: Blogs I Love

Amused Polish gave me an award. When I got my first award, I was so humbled that someone in the great, wide blogosphere, who I don't know personally and may never ever meet, thought me worthy enough of getting an award. I thought you first had to write thought-provoking, interesting posts evidenced by a bazillion followers, hits and readers to be worthy.I've a very recent blogger, and this is my fourth award. And you know what? The thrill isn't over. I don't know Amused Polish in person, nevertheless I go visit her blog when I can because I enjoy her posts and pics. She's a self-confessed nail polish lover and lipbalm addict who's got a crafty vein and a love for the British Band called Muse. Please go check out her blog.
I hope I never get too blasé for recognition. It would be too much like... growing old??? ;)
Here are the Rules:
- Post the award on your blog - done
- Link the person who has given you the award - done
- Pass the award to other blogs you love:

Zoya Swatch SPAM

Hello Everyone!

I must apologize for my absence. As you know I am in the process of packing and moving which has forced me to be a bit thin in my posts. But today may make up for it. I have swatched ALL of my Zoya nail polish to help guide you in your choices if you are doing the polish swap for Earth Day.

I started working on swatching all of them a while ago when Zoya had a promo to get two free polishes with any order over $10. How nice is that!? Well, they frequently do nice things like that and when they do, it prompts us (myself included) to scramble to find swatches so we can get ideas of what to order. And now with the exchange in full swing it is happening again! Well, I decided to give you a place to find a truckload of swatches of Zoya shades. Right here! I have included swatches of Zoya nail polish, from shimmers and glitters to mattes and cremes, in red and pink to blue and green and white and purple and everything in between! Here you are, my friends:

Astra - One of my most favorite shades ever. Pink and red glitter in a pink base. This is 3 coats.

Astra Close Up

Nova - Pink glitter in a magenta base. This is three coats.

Nova Close Up

Luna - Silver glitter in a shimmery silver base. This is three coats.

Luna Close Up

Savita - Matte purple that glows! This is 2 coats

Posh - Another fave. This is beautiful and this swatch is ONE COAT. matte shade

Dovima - 2 coats. matte shade

Loredana - This is 2 coats. matte shade

Eva - bright coralish pink. 2 coats

Dita - Punchy bright pink red creme. Dupey to China Glaze - Heli-Yum

Isla - Gorgeous blackened red shimmer. Must have. 2 coats

Moxie - Magenta creme. Very pretty. 2 coats

Jacy - Dark red-purple, magenta with hidden purple shimmer. This is 3 coats

Fergie - Purplish pink, or pinkish purple? Don't know but I love it. This is 2 coats

Malia - Hot. This may have been 3 coats, but I am not totally sure! No, I think its two but I though about doing 3 and decided not to

Pinta - This is one or two coats. I can't remember for sure but it is very rich and pigmented and can get on in one coat. Not only is it gorgeous alone, but it makes a great base to layer over; more interesting than a black creme, in my opinion.

Ki - Purple silver green duochrome - 2 coats

Adina - Wow. This turned out to be so much prettier than I thought it would be. I was afraid it'd be frosty and unflattering. I was wrong! This is 2 coats.

Kotori - Holy Moly! Get this!

Tallulah - Very bright blue shimmer. This is 2 coats

Jo - Periwinkle shimmer. I love this. Some nails have 2 coats and some have 3 to touch up and bald spots.

Envy - Super dark green. Looks black in most lights. This is 2 coats.

Midori - Light green with lots of green shimmer. Apparently close to a discontinued favorite from China Glaze: Moonpool

Goldie - Very yellow, very bold and bright, gold. 2 coats

Richelle - Copperish gold shimmer. 2 coats

Sienna - Wow. This is 3 coats

Maria - 2 coats

Gaia - This is 4 coats and still streaky but I have seen others rock it well at three. It may just have been me this day. I love it though any way and plan to layer it over white next time.

Ginessa - Shimmery white metallic. This is 2 coats

Gabrielle - This is three coats. Soooo shimmery! I has a bit of VNL after three coats but it still looks good. Can always layer it. This will be awesome for summer.

SOTD: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue

Oh, what a beautiful color! There are no words to describe it! (Or rather, there are too many words to describe it.) A perfect shade of cornflower blue: a lighter medium-toned blue with the barest hint of violet. Such a unique shade!

For about $3US you get .4 fl oz of this beautiful liquid. Goes on with creamy coverage in two coats.

Indirect sunlight, pictured above.

Direct Sunlight, pictured above.

Verdict: the hype you may or may not have heard about this polish is true - it is a must have! Honestly, if this is the type of polish (on consistency of the formula alone) that people are describing when they talk about Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes, I could see why they would be in love with that company. Buttery, creamy, opaque. And all in two coats!

Now the shade is another matter altogether. In bright light, it appears a lighter shade of blue (as seen in the first photo), but go indoors to dimmer lighting and the color seems to change. The purple undertones come out and the polish looks like it's almost a different polish. Still completely beautiful, but a darker shade altogether. If you can, stop by your local drugstore as soon as possible to pick up this beauty!

NOTD: OPI Merry Midnight and a bitch

I'm redoing it cos I took WAY better photos this time :)

 Pretty flakies in bottle.

3 days wear.

Just a mini grumble now.

I have tried, 3 times to head to the post office this week. Loooooong queues (at least an hours' wait) each time. I lined up to get my package weighed and to buy envelopes/paper package thingies for my giveaway people. Line up, line up. Then when I get to the counter, I realise I left my wallet in the car.

Me: Oh no! I just realised I left my wallet in the car.
Person behind counter (PBC): ... (Silence)
Me: Could I pop out and get it? Serve the others first.
PBC: Next......
(After running down 3 flights of stairs and up again)
Me: I'm back, sorry about that. *huff huff*
PBC: Must line up again one.
Me: ?!?!?!! Please? I waited a long time. And these nice people know I'm not cutting.
PBC: Cannot. Must line up again.
(Note: Line seems longer than before)
Me: Please? Just this once?
Me: Arggggghhhhhh....

So I must venture out again. I'm not happy with the post office. Plus we were told not to post anything to Europe as it would most likely be delayed. Na-duh for why.

Thanks for the rant. Sometimes, people are just mean .>,<

Glitter Haul

I found a newly-opened store recently. The polishes with black caps were being sold for P10 each (about US$0.25), but if one bought six, they were only P5.00 each. What a bargain!!!
So I made a haul. With only one exception, the brown, all are glitter. The gold one with blue and red flecks in the far right is an old one. All the rest are recent purchases. The purple and silver ones on the left have a mix of tiny shimmers and large flecks that are really lovely. But I can't take a decent pic to save my life, so help me!!!

Warning: Feet Ahead

My tootises just had a relaxing pedicure. Sorry for those who don't like feet but they are clean and polished, if I do say so myself.

I finally tried OPI's Absolutely Alice and I love it. Dense micro glitter. 2 coats. ^^
I have fat round toes that I don't really like.

But my dog does!
I was scratching his back and my mom took the picture. Now, that's a look of serenity. :)
