Swaps!

Hi all!

This is my 'willing-to-swap' list.

Some of the nail polishes have been swatched once, some are used (like 20% gone), and some look used but if we swap, I will go out and buy a new bottle for you! I shall indicate where and what and if that is the bottle you are getting a a new one. :)

Just a warning: A lot of the korean nail polishes have numbers and letters as names. Ex: PK3637
So to save time, I didn't type those out. Just indicate from left to right (or whatever plugs your tub, whatever floats your boat, whatever roasts your chestnuts or whatever wraps your wontons, ummm you get the picture) and say which bottle. Easy peasy lemon sqeezy? :)

These are are unused. The Missha ones are the same polish. From left to right, the first one is full and the other is 80% full. I say missing cos it just came like that. Fuso red and Fuso Red Glitter. Honey Sweet blue/gray. All this are unswatched and new.
From left to right, Sally Hansen Spell (70% full), Sally Hansen Lavender Envy (swatched), Pedicure White (80% left), Sally Hansen Black Out (Used for frankening only), Sally Hansen True Love (Swatched once) and Revlon Copperglaze Platinum (swatched once).
These Rainbow polishes are nameless. But click to enlarge. These are brought new. This is my personal collection. Just state Top picture or bottom.

My ever-classic Skinfood pedicure range. I swear by these guys. They are are really great one-coaters. I will get these new.
Who says blue and green should never be seen? These beauties are screaming out for ya! The green in the middle is a yummy jelly. Click to enlarge and yes, these will be new. :)
Hot hot hot! The orange is lovely and (top picture, last bottle on the right) is a beautiful red shimmer. These will be bought new.

The bottle with the gold cap is my favourite rose gold one. People have said they don't see the gold. I don't know why I say rose gold either sometimes, it's just the shade and I can't explain it. :) The black for this range requires 3 coats (Just a warning :)) But it dries to a nice glossy black. Yes! More new bottles!

Soooooooo... Any questions?

If you want to swap please just let me know. Rainbow and Skinfood is an 'endless' supply. However, if I do head out to the shops, and they don't have the colour that you want, I'm not giving you mine. ^^ I will try my best to source it from either Singapore or Malaysia. So you might have to give me a bit of time.

The other brands is first come, first served. I only have a bottle of each and those are colours I don't like on myself. >,<

I must also figure out how to put this as a link or another page. My html skills do not exist. And I can slaughter zombies, kill hordes of ogres and have a couple of lucky headshots... But I can't create webpages...

*sigh*

But seriously, have fun browsing and just leave me questions in the comments section.

I will get back to ya ASAP! ^^

NOTD: OPI Who the Shrek are you and Catch Me in Your Net

Taken in the shade! I really love Catch Me in Your Net. Goes on smooth and looks beautiful in 2 coats.
Who the Shrek are you is a creme and I found the formula a bit goopy. It is a 3 coater I guess. I did only 2 coats. It really needed the 3rd for eveness but the sun was out and I quickly did my swap list shots. ^^

In full sunlight. My middle finger is getting better but my cuticles are peeling. Again. I miss ONE day of putting cuticle oil and this is my punishment.

Watch out for my swap post! :)

NOTD: Anna Sui No. 333 and some OPI Buys

Hellos all!

This is a light shimmer glittery pink. 2 coats.
But I hated it on my nails. It makes them look sooooo yellow and gross. The only up side is the rose scent.
Imagine using a single rose petal to dig your nose. ^^ It's just like that.

I have a really bad habit of scratching my nose when I'm nervous. So when I had that meeting with my boss, at least it smelt pretty. >,<

But I did buy something. Although I should be saving more money...

Can you guess which 2 colours?

Close up! Caaaaaaaan you guess?

Yes! It is!

By the way, I promised this lovely lady from nailpolishuk that I would have my swap list up and ready by Friday.

Happy belated Vesak day to all Buddhists! Sorry to digress.

It has been rainy here in Singapore. Dark and overcast. The pictures I took were crap. So let's hope Sunday is a sunny day.

Will swatch these 2 polishes soon.

Byes all!

Don't Like Your Mani? You Can Fix It

I was high on life the other day. I had a nice meeting, I went on a shopping spree, and it was a gorgeous day so I layed out (in the new blurple bikini I got on the shopping spree!) and I thought some neon nails were in order. I decided to go with Color Club - Ultra Violet, a neon purple. I thought it would be amazing but it just didn't wow me. I think that it just wasn't working with my red skin. I didn't want to change it. I wanted to like it. I wanted to give it a chance. So I decided to start digging through my stash to find a way to spruce it up. This is what I came up with.

I added some flowers with white NP and Konad plate M65. Then I took it up yet another notch with a coat of Cover Girl - City Lights, a holographic glitter top coat. I really like that! I actually have had it on for 4 days and still plan on wearing it for at least another.

I appreciate the shade more like this. I love the delicate, full coverage flower pattern and the glints of rainbows from the sparkles. Plus when the blue shimmer in Ultra Violet flashes at me I get completely entranced .

So if you have a nail polish you want to love but it just isn't working for you, there may be a way to help it be more desirable!

New House Key

This is a cute mani I did the other day. I started with what may be my favorite white: Color Club - Oooooo La La. It is a clean white, but has a pearl finish making it far more wearable than a white out white. Next I added a coat of LA Colors - Silver Glitter. That looked rather awesome but then I added one more touch: a gradient of rhinestones to my ring finger in pinks, blues and green.

And where did I pull the inspiration for this mani from? That is where the goofy name of this post comes in. It seriously was inspired by a new key I got cut. It is white with silver glitter and rhinestones! >>>

Isn't that adorable? It is much easier to figure out what key you need when you're fumbling in the dark after a few cocktails...

What do you think?

NOTD: Sally Hansen True Love 66

Why is True Love the number 66? Since my nails are nubbins *growl*, I decided to go for a light neutral colour.
It's soooooo not me.
2 coats. Light and shimmery. Very safe. Bah. The middle finger is still red and a bit sore. It's growing but very very slowly. Maybe I'm just impatient.

Bonus Pictures!

Sleeping Cookie. She looks so sweet when she's not grumpy.

I'm sorry this looks so gross. Floppy was sleeping. Not dead despite the picture. He was almost impossible to wake up til dinner :) Then he was up like a flash.

Day Off and Shopping Blues

I got myself a BIIIIIIG bag. How big you say?
That big! Don't believe it? Different angle then.
Ooooooooo....

It's currently sale season in Singapore. The Great Singapore Sale. Not that there's THAT many sales in Singapore.

It's only the New Year Sale, the Pre-Chinese New Year Sale, the post chinese new year sale. The Easter sale (pre and post), end of season sales (times 4) Hari Raya sale (pre and post), Deepavali sale (pre and post), labour day weekend sale, National day sale, June holidays sale, Christmas sale (pre and post).

Just to name a few.

But i got this bag at about 65% off. It was a bargin.

And it was an evil buy.

I'm heading to Vancouver end of the year for 3 and a half weeks. During that time, I'm making a trip to Seattle. And possibly, Disneyland and Universal Studios in LA. It would be my first trip there.

And I'm excited and broke thinking about it.

I'm visiting a girlfriend in Vancity, so my room is free. *phew* Thanks mamajaja!

So, it's a day off and I'm doing maths. Evil maths.

Looks like I'll be living off air, grass, mud and public restrooms tapwater til December.

^^

Zoya Sparkle Collection with Close-Ups!

Half of Zoya's summer release this year, as I am sure you know, is the Sparkle collection. The "sparkle" in these isn't really glitter, but it isn't really shimmer. If you are around here regularly, you have probably seen my glitter close-up shots which make it really clear how glitter looks. They are usually larger particles that are regular geometric shapes like squares and hexagons. The sparkles in the Zoya Sparkles are smaller than typical glitter and they are irregular in shape. They are more like a shimmer, but shimmer to me is very, very fine like a dusting of shimmery particles and Zoya Sparkles are much larger than typical shimmer. So I have been calling what is in these "sparkles" as opposed to "glitter" or "shimmer". All these swatches are three coats.

Charla - sun/shade/close-up - Ooooh. This is a bright sky blue jelly crammed with gold sparkles. The gold in the blue gives a green to teal tinge to this shade. Really pretty.

Ivanka - sun/shade/close-up - Charla is something special, but I think I like the look of Ivanka on my nails more. I love the jewel green with the bright, dense, gold sparkles.

Allegra - sun/shade/close-up - This is a hot (not neon, just hott!) fuchsia jelly with pinkish, purplish sparkles.

Mimi - sun/shade/close-up - This is a bold, royal purple jelly with purple sparkles that have a slight gold duochrome.

Nihdi - sun/shade/close-up - This is a tomato-red jelly with gold sparkles. I really like this red/gold combo. The base is slightly different than the others as it seems to be closer to a creme than a jelly. It also looks like the sparkles are less dense than in others. It's probably the only one that I would have let get away with two coats, but this swatch is three.

The formula of these is pigmented enough that if you did a thicker coat you could do two coats, but I did three for all because in the strong sunlight there was VNL.

Unfortunately when I ordered these I somehow forgot about Gilda! I intended on getting the whole collection and just missed! Gilda is a bright pink sparkle. If I get it one day I will swatch it but there are no promises at this point!

What do you think of the Sparkles? Still waiting to pull the trigger on your Zoya Exchange? That is how I got mine... and 11 other Zoyas...
